15 Years of Bliss

Lena, Kei and I just came back from Holland, Michigan where we celebrated our 15 year wedding anniversary at the Dutch villages and on the sandy white beach of Lake Michigan.

Man, what a great time.

Back in Clayton and back at work. Lena is prepping Operation Shower for some exciting showers in the month's ahead. I'm so proud of everything she's accomplished with Operation Shower - despite being the best Mom in the world, taking care of Kei, running our house and being an awesome partner. She is superwoman.

I'm back in the office and kicking up a bunch of dust around some exciting projects/products we are developing.

March Madness

I had a great business trip to Jefferson City on Friday where we gave an agency pitch and met with a new client. Lots of fun.

Building a professional services firm is an exciting endeavor and I am very proud of the team we've assembled. It's so much fun to bring on young, hungry and humble folks who are truly passionate about delivering excellence to those clients we are fortunate enough to win. Every day is fun and brings new challenges.

Keilan continues to grow into the most amazing little man. I am so lucky to be his father. He just got glasses and he's so proud. I'm happy they aren't exact replicas of Harry Potter ;>)

OK, I was having some problems with the Bliss Blog, but a friend of mine was able to fix the database issue and we're back online. Realizing there's more to blogging than Facebook updates, Twitter posts and the rest of the shorty award world, I'm hopeful to spend a little more thoughtful time here.

time is flying

Gosh, I haven't had much time to update this now that I'm in the habit of posting to all the social media sites. Plus, I've been so busy merging my design firm with another (and forming the top interactive agency in St. Louis) that I haven't had time to sit down and think.

Kei is almost fully recovered from his tonsil surgery. I'm so glad we've removed those things as it seems he'll have a lifetime of much healthier wellness. I think my throat gets pretty sore at least once a year, so I wish I would have had mine removed upon birth.

Spring has sprung and the flowers are blooming. It's a great time of year in StL as the trees and colors begin to shine.

We are beginning to plan our summer vacations. We plan on spending some time out in Arizona with Grandma Morrissey and also spend a long weekend in Chicago.

Summers are awesome!

Part One: Dad

Walk by Mom. She will flutter her eye lashes and smile. Once she does that you smile and walk until you reach the couch. Then kiss.

Part Two: Mom

When Dad walks past you flutter your eye lashes and then smile. You will be standing at the couch then you both will kiss.

Part Three: Mom

Then you run around the room twice then kiss again.

Part 4: Dad

When Mom runs around the room twice, kiss her. She will kiss you first then ask will you marry me? Tell Mom to say yes.

boys weekend rocks

I'm preparing for Lena's trip tomorrow down to Houston as it'll be just the boys here in town for the weekend. As Kei likes to say, 'boys weekend rocks'.

We'll do beignets for breakfast, swim a few times, play video games, hit the huge mardi gras parade and watch some Smurfs and superheroes.

By Sunday, we'll both be glad Lena is back!

NBA

As I watch this year's NBA All-Star game, I'm brought back to the 80's when I loved watching professional basketball. I'm not sure if it's like this with every generation, but the luster is off the game a bit to me and the game just seems different today.

It's still fun and the athletes are amazing, but nothing will beat the Celtics versus the Lakers back in the day.

It's been a long weekend with Keilan, as he was off Friday and will be tomorrow for teacher's prep and President's Day. We've taken full advantage by visiting the City Museum (now my favorite museum in the world), celebrating Valentine's Day (including a date with just Lena and the movie Doubt), beignets for breakfast, swimming twice and lots and lots of playing with figures.

Life is sooooo good.
